Kingfisher Sky was formed after Ivar de Graaf left Within Temptation.
The band was founded as a collaboration between Ivar de Graaf and Judith Rijnveld. The first band to originate from this co-operation was a rockband called 'Jambone'. This band seized to exist only one year later. After this, Ivar and Judith decided they would take some years to write songs that appealed to them, not tied to any genre.
In 2006 this resulted in a demo containing 11 tracks. The band got signed and 2007, they released their first album.
