DEADLOCK

DEADLOCK follow an innovative, highly unique and creative way of bringing the world their newest opus, “Wolves.” For those who are unfamiliar, DEADLOCK play a mixture of technical, melodic metal with the harsh atmospheric nature of today’s modern sounds. Combine that with extreme metal and a good dose of gothic darkness, outstanding keyboard and female vocal thrills and what you have is a masterpiece in the making. Since the band’s 2005 Lifeforce Records debut “Earth.Revolt,” a lot has happened to further their sound and character. After more than six years of brilliant collaborations with vocalist Sabine Weniger (previously in a part-time capacity), 2006 saw her angelic voice and presence become a permanent fixture in the DEADLOCK member ranks. The full time addition of Sabine helped to invigorate and strengthen the band’s outlook, creatively and musically. DEADLOCK are extremely determined now to make an album of epic proportions with their amazing 2007 follow up album “Wolves.” This album builds upon their signature paths of virtuous keyboard overkills, bombastic orchestral sections and lead guitar-attacks of previous albums while bringing a reinforced technical approach. Combined with Sabine’s amazing and highly acclaimed voice in a full time capacity, “Wolves” adds a deeper dimension to their music and creates a presence that is very unique in the metal scene today.

Founded in the later half of 1997, DEADLOCK took their time to find a solid line-up and the right attitude towards cultivating a sound all their own. After their first self-titled 7 Inch was released, the band gained further attention with their MCD “I’ll Wake You When Spring Awakes” (2000). The quintet started to include keyboards and clean female vocals to their songs during the period of their release “The Arrival.” This period saw DEADLOCK reach new levels, while establishing their own brutal and blistering metal-sound. In 2003 the split release with Six Reasons To Kill proved the bands ability to develop their skills to a higher level. DEADLOCK’s Lifeforce Records debut “Earth.Revolt” was well received among press and fans alike, because of its balanced mixture of fast and virtuous guitar work, their slowed-down atmospheric parts as well as the strong connection between music and lyrics.

Arsis is an American death metal band from Virginia Beach, Virginia, formed in 2000.Although remaining as heavy as traditional death metal bands, they also possess complex riffs and solos that are similar to those found in both melodic and technical death metal. The band is currently signed to Nuclear Blast.

"Arsis" is also a musical term used to refer to the upbeat or unaccented part of a measure.
BiographyThe band's main composer, singer/songwriter James Malone, did all the guitar, vocals, and bass work on every studio album. His main influences include King Diamond, Iron Maiden, At the Gates, Morbid Angel, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir and Dissection.
Mike Van Dyne quit Arsis in early 2007 to further his education; he has since joined the New York hardcore bandCrimson Mask.

Noah Martin did in fact play bass on the album, United in Regret.
Darren Cesca left the band in 2008 citing differences in musical direction. It was announced that he would be replaced on tour by Alex Tomlin of Battlemaster. The band has since recruited Shawn Priest to play drums.

Noah Martin also left the band in the summer of 2008. He left the band to finish his college degree.

Genre
While Arsis can be described as technical death metal and melodic death metal, their music also contains a notable black metal influence, especially in James Malone's vocal style.

ANATA

Anata se forma en Varberg, Suecia, en 1993 con Fredrik Schalin a las guitarras y voz, Mattias Svensson como segunda guitarra, Robert Petterson como batería y Martin Sjöstrand al bajo. En sus inicios practicaban una mezcla de estilos incorporando elementos del trash, doom y el death metal.

La banda comenzó a tocar con formaciones de la zona como Dissection, Lake of Tears y Beseech. Con el tiempo fueron tomando una dirección más oscura y death-metalera que se concreta en su primera demo Bury Forever the Garden of Lie en 1995.

La grabación tuvo repercusión en la prensa europea, pero Mattias Svensson y Martin Sjöstrand dejan la banda en 1996. Entraría al bajo Henrik Drake, con quien grabarían su segunda demo Vast Lands of My Infernal Dominion en 1997.

A finales de ese año se une como guitarra Andreas Allenmark para grabar el primer disco con el sello francés Season of Mist. Sería The Infernal Depths Of Hatred editado en 1998; presentaba cuatro canciones de su segunda demo y cuatro temas nuevos.

La revista francesa Metallian lo elige disco del mes. Poco después presentan un split llamado WAR Vol. II con la banda Bethzaida. En él cada uno hace una versión y Anata toca de Day of Suffering de Morbid Angel].

Sin dormirse en los laureles comienzan a escribir su segundo LP. Dreams of Death and Dismay contendría 10 cortes de death metal agresivo. La diferencia básica con el trabajo anterior es que comienzan a introducirse en terrenos progresivos abandonando los toques black del anterior. El disco se edita en Relapse Records con permiso de Season of Miste.

En abril de 2001 el batería Robert Petersson deja la banda por cansancio, al tiempo, que el resto de miembros participan en el proyecto Rot Injected (con Björn Johansson y Conny Pettersson de los death melódicos Eternal Lies). Convencidos de la calidad de Conny le reclutan para sustituir a Robert.

A pesar del éxito de los trabajos anteriores Anata comienza a no sentirse a gusto con Season of Mist por su poca capacidad de difusión del disco a pesar de las buenas críticas. Es entonces cuando fichan por Earache Records con quien grabaran sus dos siguientes trabajos.

Tras su exitosa participación en el Maryland Deathfest de 2006 junto a bandas como Dismember, Machetazo o Haemorrage se confirma que su cuarto disco, The Conductor's Departure se editará el 12 de junio en Europa y dos semanas después en los Estados Unidos.

Soy Nico de nuevo actualizando este blog de nuestra bienamada Countess!

Hoy tengo el honor de presentarles a esta monstruosa banda!

Los padres del death metal tecnico, y para mi sin dudas los mejores en este genero!

A continuacion van a poder encontrar la discografia de DEATH (solo los discos completos y de estudio, no subí las demos ni los cd's en vivo).

Espero q les guste.... y si no les gusta... van a ser atormentados por los siervos de lucifer por toda la eternidad en las profundidades del averno!

habiendo concluido esta maldicion... les dejo data de la banda y luego me retiro ...

Chuck Schuldiner un muchacho de Florida de 15 años, allá por 1983, junto a dos amigos, Kam Lee (batería) y Rick Rozz (guitarra), tocaban en una banda llamada Mantas (como tributo al guitarrista de Venom). Grabaron una demo de cuatro temas llamado Death by Metal al mismo tiempo que se formaban otras grandes bandas dentro de la historia del metal y similares a Death: Possessed y Celtic Frost. Más tarde la banda cambia su nombre a Death y editan otro demo Reign Of Terror y, en marzo del 85 se registra su tercer demo titulado Infernal Death. Chuck se traslada a San Francisco y deja a Rick y a Kam que fundaron más tarde Massacre.

Ya en San Francisco, Chuck conoce al baterista Chris Reifert de Autopsy y al guitarrista John Hand. El grupo tuvo la colaboración en los ensayos del bajista Steve Digiorgio (Sadus) y, con un amplio elenco de temas se graba la demo que los lanzaría a su primer contrato discográfico serio: Mutilation en el año 86. Death ficha por Combat Records y un año más tarde queda registrado su primer disco: Scream Bloody Gore.

En 1988 Chuck se separa de John y Chris y vuelve Rick Rozz (guitarra) a la banda, Terry Butler en el bajo y Bill Andrews en la batería completaron la formación. Death continuó componiendo temas y vio la luz su álbum más brutal: Leprosy. Finalmente Rozz deja la banda y lo reemplaza James Murphy.

1990 marcó un punto de inflexión en la banda. El álbum Spiritual Healing demuestra mayor madurez y seriedad en el aspecto lírico así como un salto cualitativo y técnico en la instrumentación, sobre todo en las guitarras. Durante la gira hubo diferencias en la banda y Chuck fue expulsado y reemplazado por otro vocalista. La formación no duró mucho ya que Rozz (anterior guitarra de la banda) reclutó a Butler y Andrews para relanzar el proyecto de Massacre y James formó parte de otras bandas como Obituary o Testament.

Chuck vuelve a la carga en 1991, con más fuerza que nunca, recluta a Paul Masvidal, Sean Reinert y a su viejo amigo Steve Digiorgio. Relativity Records es el sello encargado de lanzar su cuarto álbum: Human aún más técnico que el anterior y que marcaría la nueva tendencia que seguiría Death dentro del Technical Death Metal. Se graba el vídeo Lack Of Comprehension con una recepción magnífica por parte de todos los seguidores en el mundo. Y, algún tiempo después, en el 92, se lanza un álbum recopilatorio: Fate - The Best Of Death.

Corría 1993 Death vuelve a hacer historia marcando nuevas pautas con el álbum Individual Thought Patterns. Gene Hoglan (batería) de Dark Angel, Andy LaRoque (King Diamond) y Steve Digiorgio son los realizadores de este álbum. Poco después vino el segundo vídeo: The Philosopher. Cada álbum era diferente, aportando nuevas ideas y dando frescura, ninguno fue la excepción. En 1995, Death ficha por Roadrunner Records y lanzan Symbolic, nuevamente con nuevos miembros a excepción de Hoglan, los demás puestos fueron ocupados por Kelly Conlon en el bajo y Bobby Koelble en la guitarra. Este álbum es sin duda el álbum más progresivo de Death pero para nada desentona con lo que esta banda acostumbraba a dar a sus fans.

Pasó tiempo y no se supo nada de Death, hubo rumores que Chuck dejaba Death para seguir en otra banda donde solo tocaría la guitarra: Control Denied y, aunque muchos temían que Death no reapareciese más, fue un simple proyecto de Chuck. Entraron en la banda músicos de primerísimo nivel: Shannon Hamm (guitarra), Scott Clendinin (bajo) y Richard Christy, otro eximio baterista. En 1998 se fichó por Nuclear Blast y vio la luz su último disco: The Sound Of Perseverance el cual nos muestra a una banda madura, con exhibiciones de brutalidad, melodía y técnica. Hay que resaltar el cambio de estilo de Chuck al cantar, ahora su voz es mucho más aguda y desgarradora. The Sound of Perseverance también incorpora una sorpresa: una versión del tema Painkiller de Judas Priest.

Desafortunadamente a Chuck se le diagnostica un tumor cerebral, muchos sellos discográficos, fanzines, revistas y bandas organizan una gran subasta de artículos exclusivos relacionados con Death y el metal en general para ayudar a Chuck y su familia. El propio Chuck donó sus guitarras, el gran bajista y amigo de Chuck Steve Digiorgio, su bajo personalizado y algunos sellos aportaron material de colección para ser subastados con el fin de recaudar fondos para la intervención de Chuck. Después de que se diagnosticara la enfermedad de Chuck, Nuclear Blast lanzó en 2001 dos trabajos en vivo: Live In L.A. (Death & Raw) y Live In Eindhoven grabado en el Dynamo Festival del '98. El jueves 13 de diciembre de 2001 a las 16.00 Chuck Schuldiner perdió la batalla por su vida cerrando Un capítulo en la historia del death metal.

Bands history
Moscow group Arcane Grail is organized in December of 2001 year. It plays in style – symphonic black metal with elements of doom and Swedish melodic death with male and female vocals. The sense of the name consists in aspiration to some psychological ideal, which is necessary on a way of search of spiritual perfection. The finding of "Grail" gives the divine force and wisdom. Mythological image of Grail itself is connected with a bowl, in which was assembled the blood of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion. The group has no christian, or other religious orientation. After several reshuffles in line-up of the band, now there is a stable concert structure of six musicians: singers, guitarist, bassist, drummer and keyboardist. The group plays basically with domestic bands, there was one joint performance with legendary Austrian death-metal group “Pungent Stench”. Arcane Grail was recording debut full-length album in the best Russian record-studio DIE-Records with producer Evgeniy Vinogradov (albums of Catharsis, E.S.T., Butterfly Temple, Forgive-Me-Not, Pagan Reign and others) in the period from August 2004 to March 2005. An album "Mysteries Of Ancient Charnel" describes about the events which have occurred in first half of XVII century in German district Schwarzwald, where is inadvertently insurgent from a tomb by spells of witches, the shelterless spirit of gothic king Ermanarih (real historical person died per 376 year AD) makes evil deeds, which should be untangled by envoy of fading monastic order. In music of an album of collective it is possible to hear practically all existing substyles of metal music (except like melodic-power and industrial), but frame of music of Arcane Grail is melodic-death and gothic symphonic atmosphere together with various black-, death- and opera vocals. 3 August 2006 through Musica Production-label debut album "Mysteries of the Ancient Charnel" is released.
