DAWN DESIREÉ

Best known for her vocal contributions to the atmospheric heavy metal group, Rain Fell Within, Dawn is also pursuing interests with her solo career. Dawn’s self-titled debut CDR exhibits the strength and passion of her voice while painting an image of melancholy with her emotional piano and keyboard compositions.
Dawn has also showcased her voice with various guest appearances in other bands such as Witch-Hunt and The Soil Bleeds Black, and has worked alongside other notable musicians like Mary of Garden of Shadows and Jennifer of Autumn Tears. Dawn’s heavenly siren soprano is certain to gather attention and will most likely lead her to future success as she continues her exploration of emotionally inspired ethereal sounds. - The Fossil Dungeon Beginning at age three she set upon her musical path as a member of her pre-school choir. By her high school years she had outshined the school choir and continued her studies with private vocal lessons as well as several years of piano. Her influences cover a wide range and include such notable performers as: Sarah McLachlan, Fiona Apple, Madonna, Aerosmith, Anathema, October Project, King Diamond, My Dying Bride, Kari Rueslatten (3rd and the mortal), Anneke van Giersbergen (Gathering) and Katatonia. After graduation she joined the band Rain Fell Within in which she was able to combine her classical training with a love of metal music. After a well-received demo Dark Symphonies signed Rain Fell Within and 2000 saw the arrival of the debut CD, 'Believe'. In 2001 Dawn released her first solo project showcasing her vocal and keyboard talents. This self titled Dawn Desireé MCD was released in a limited edition oversized CD-R by the Fossil Dungeon. Now in 2002 her musical path grows even more with Rain Fell Within's sophomore album 'Refuge' released again by Dark Symphonies on April 12.
